I have found a source that says 5 blinks means failure of the 3.3v or 8v rail. b/r Troo. |

There is a fault in the tv which is causing the power supply shutdown by the protection circuit- the fact that the fuse was blown(how- black, melted?) means there is a serious fault- the set will have to be repaired by a competent person who knows electronics generally & tvs especially- I have no info on this set & do not know what 5 blinks mean, but I am sure that someone in cyber space does- B/R, Troo. |

|
When I turn the TV on the inside ticks and I get no screen. The ticking lasts for about 10 seconds. The led light on the front of the tv blinks 5 times and then pauses on the led and then repeats 5 times again. I know that is an error troubleshooting code but don't know what it stands for. Any idea what the problem may be? I already swapped out the fuse which was bad, but obviously is not the cause of the ticking. Thanks for any help!! |
