Thanks for the response. Those are the very thought processes I have followed but have yet to find an answer. The TV refers to 1080 i on the front panel, has seperate inputs for Comp along with internal switching for each of the channels (2 comp and 4 standard/S video) but.....I have yet to break the code. And yea, that users manual is completely worthless. Thanks again for your input. Jim |

...there has got to be a way for the TV to distinguish between the two sets of inputs? lets see is there anything in "set up" pertaining to like "input setting or maybe DTV/digital tv?
Of course looking at the owners man., it is as clear as mud regarding that. --not a word about it, just how to hookup. I
Provided there are no defects, just wondering if the "component ins" need to see a "progressive" type signal that would basically override the standard inputs? --sort of rings a bell but not sure?
Perhaps minnie could chime in. |

Please acept my appologies if this gets double posted. I'm hoping I'm just missing a setup point. This problem has existed since I bought the TV new. All TV functions work but I cannot get a picture from either of the 2 COMPONENT IN channels. Audio seems fine, though I don't use the TV's audio. I've confirmed component output signals from the DVD by routing them (any of the 3) to a standard video input. All seems fine. All standard video channels work as well as the rest of the TV. Any ideas? What am I missing? Thanks! Jim |
