I would agree with Neil, a lot of these sets have complicated bus IC's to work the colour, I've repaired a couple of these sets at great cost, only to have them bounce a couple of months into the repair warranty. The result is an irate customer and a costly bill. For some years now I no longer take Panasonic colour faults, it saves time and money.

Unfortunately it may be a minor component causing the problem- these sets have extensive protection built in - it may even be a faulty or out of tolerance comp in prot circuit- if you have led on you have 5v line still- it may be vert circuit, or audio circuit, or control circuit, or dry solder joint, or leaky semiconductor, or hi-esr capacitors, or s/c cap- you really need to take this set to an expert, or if you want to fix yourself, you will need a proper service manual, & the tools, equip & knowhow to fix- it could even be a faulty lopt or yoke- the difference between a n amateur & a professional is experience. Knowing what to test & how to. Safely.
