Also, don't forget to discharge the mains reservoir capacitor, a lot of philips sets hold a charge with these type of faults.  |

I would check the degauss positor, they're infamous for falling to bits, take it out and give it a shake, a faulty one normally has plenty of rattle, also check the chopper IC. Hope that helps. |

I have a philips TV/Video combo that blows an internal fuse (Glass) when it is switched on, any suggestions are welcomed. Common faults?
