Are those lines above or within the active picture area? It is very common that TVs and CRT monitors with automatic cut-off adjustment gives those three "sense lines", but they should normaly be above the visible area of the screen. If they however become visible within the picture, it might be due to a vertical deflection trouble causing "folding" of the upper part of the picture. This usually is due to a trouble in the bootstrap circuitry of the vertical amp, often a small electrolytic cap (10 uF 50 V or something similar) that has went bad. |
