In your owners manual is an 800 # for Toshiba. Call them and bitch you want a them to pay for parts and labor. Tell them you didn't pay this kind of money for a set to break so soon! |

I've had the SAME problem! I was *REALLY* lucky, since my Toshiba 42HL167 was still on warranty (it had a *15* month warranty, they probably calculate 2-3 months to allow the store to sell the good, I dunno).
It was the seine board as well... took only 24 hours to fix by the local repair shop and now it works perfectly and work is guaranteed for another 6 months.  |

| Seine board? Tell him to learn what he's doing. The suspect would be the t-con board/logic board. |

| I have a 37" Toshiba LCD, purchased Oct 2006, 1 year warranty. The picture went blank a few days ago and the repair guy says it needs a new seine board - a $500 part + labor! Am I nuts to expect Toshiba or the dealer (Video Only) to stand behind their product? Is this normal, we have to purchase new LCD TV's every 18 months? |
