Note that there are two separate power supply lines to the stereo, one with constant power and one that is switched via the ignition key. Make sure that you have +12V on both of those when ignition is on.

Renault generally locates all fuses in the fuse box, so unless the stereo installation is home made, you should not have to search for hidden fuses behind the dash panel.

Make sure that you have a proper wiring diagram for the car when troubleshooting, it will help a lot.

I have disconnected the battery on my 1999 Renault clio and now the clock and stereo display does not work. All the fuses are ok and there is power going to the stereo. A garage has checked it over and has said that the dash has to come out as everything else seems ok. Can I easily do this myself and is there a fuse behind there or a display bulb?
