So, I've had this thing sitting around for a while, just never could get rid of it. I just decided to mount the new power supply properly and try my hand at the internet again.

Found hxxp://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/forums/viewpost.cgi?900754, which links to hxxp://picasaweb.google.com/audiokook/PioneerTrap. Followed instruction nine, it came right up. Works perfectly!

Sorry, minnie!

Thanks, minnie, but do you have an idea of what a red/green blinking LED means? I couldn't locate anything relating to it in the service manual (well, the similar PDP-503 manual at least).

I just replaced the PSU in this unit, and I tried to come out of standby the first time without taping down the trip switch. That made me suspect that it had locked down.

I'll look it up tomorrow. Sounds like Pioneer and JVC. If you run the set with the back off it trips the digital main.

I believe I have gotten a PHD50500 locked... the standby LED begins flashing red/green as soon as it's powered up (even in standby).

If this IS what that sequence means, what is the remote or RS-232 code I can use to unlock it?
