Hello,

I own Mitac 8640 (labelled Actina Champion) with nVidia graphics. The same situation with power problems occured to my notebook as well. The reason is poor battery in those notbooks. My was OK for 18 months. Then it started to loose capacity. Now (30 months) the battery is completly dead - it operates aproximatelly 2 minutes. The only solution is to replace the battery or the battery cells.

Hi

I have this mitac 8640sc notebook(labelled Medion), that the user apparently have dropped a screw into, when inserting extra memory.
It runs fine, both plugged in and on battery, until a demanding task, like a game(more demanding than windows builtin games) is being run. Then, it dies after 15-20 secs, and reports low or no batterypower left.. This is only when running on battery. Plugged in works fine.

I know it's a powerdrain somewhere, but I cannot seem to find it. Not sure if it's a power circuit or a graphics circuit
