|
Hello
I have an IBM P275, Type 6652-U3, FRU P/N 22P6431, 21" Trinitron.
It has an intermittent fault. When the screen is activated from standby, it flares a few times before it settles down to a normal picture.
By flaring, I mean that the brightness increases so much that the image washes out. The image size also increases a lot. It's like there is a sudden pulse of HT voltage. As the picture collapses back to normal, there is a crackling sound, the same as when monitor is turned off.
This flaring happens for about 10 secs after the monitor is activated. After that it works like normal. It's slowly getting worse, so eventually it's going to go bang and not work again. It's a very good monitor and I would like to fix it if I can. |
