I assume you have tried all simple things? Renew the battery of the remote control, look inside it for debris or water damage and clean as necessary.
If you have more than one remote control for the central lock, then check wheter all of the remotes or only one of them has ceased working. This will tell you wheter the fault is in the remote or in the car's receiver.
Note that in several european countries, where radio controlled car locks operate on 433,92 MHz, this frequency is within an amateur radio band where the amateur traffic has priority according to international radio legislation. As the receivers for remote controls are very simply made with low selectivity etc, a powerful amateur transmission (i.e. a repeater which might be transmitting several hours a day) can effectively block all car lock remotes in a large area. |
