If it's a normal plug the out side should be ground and the center signal.

Hi Minnie
Thanks for your reply, the link to Binatone tech support line could be useful but the link to headsets are just ordinary computer headsets with 3.5mm jack plugs which will not fit the Binatone radio. I still need to know the pinout connections for the radio and for the headset so I can put my own plug on them or make an adaptor lead, any ideas???
Thanks
Nygel

Hi all,
Hope somebody out there can help me. I have recently bought a pair of these binatone radios and want to connect a head set to one of them, not quite sure what head set yet. My problem is how to connect the radio and headset together. Do all PMR radios have the same plug & pinout connections for headsets, I'm guessing not, so does anyone know where I can find the pinout connections for this particular radio?? Most headsets seem to be suitable for Motorola or Kenwood or Icom so does anyone know where I can find the pinout connections for these headsets??? Maybe there is an adaptor lead already around which will connect my radio to these headsets, if not I'm more than happy to make my own lead, or just put a suitable plug on the end of the headset cable, but I need to know the pinout connections first. Any ideas or suggestions greatly apreciated, look forward to your help, thanks, Nygel.
