| We have a Sony Trinitron 1992 and it turns on and off by its self for 20 min to 3 hours before it will stay on. would this have something to do with the curcit board for the on off switch? and if I replace it would that solve the problem? |

| Bad solder joints are a common problem with Sony TVs. Look for cracked joints around any heat producing components, especially the regulator transistors. Re-solder anything that has a heatsink, and you fix 90 percent of faults. |

| look for dry joints.... or you can look inside the tuner as well for dry joints |
