Thanks for the quick response.

No mushroomed tops on the power supply board.

I will check the transistor. Were would I find the replacement part number?

The high pitch squeal is usually a shorted horizontal output transistor. It's on the heat sink by the flyback. Also check the caps for mushroomed tops in the power supply. You have to read the HOT out of circuit.

I have a D52W20 that stopped working. I was in the service menu (not the main menu) just looking (no changes made yet ) and the tv just shut off. I tried turning it back on and all I got was a high pitched squeal and the power light comes on for 2 sec, goes off, then blinks on for a sec, goes off,then back on for 2 more sec and then the tv goes off. It will keep doing this until I unplug it. I thought I might have changes a setting or something but have unpluged it for weeks now which is what is supposed to reset the TV, Even removed all boards and still nothing. I have already replaced the flyback.
