Well I read and read and reread. Tried adjusting as per manual but cannot get straight lines now it is way worse than it ever was. Is there any way to go back to factory default? It doesn't have magic focus. I am starting to get very frustrated. |

Enter the convergence service mode by pushing the button on the board. It's not easy. Read, read, and reread. Green is the base, adjust red and blue to green. The easy cheat, reinitialize the sensors but taking a chance. |

So I replaced the convergnece ic's and resistors, the color in the top left is ok now but now when I try to adjust the digital array the left and right center crosshaiars are in too far. The red and blue will not move in far enough. the screen looks bowed inward at the middle like this ) (
Picture looks good at the top but sides colors are bleeding. |

I have done some reading , have a mechanical/ electrical background
( automotive) and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.
The reds in the top left of the screen cannot be adjusted with the digital array adjustment . it is way low. From what I have read it may be the convergence IC"S. I looked in the back of the set and see several boards and cannot seem to identify the convergence IC's. I also don't have a manual. Any help would be appreciated. Oh yes I am in Canada, so if I need to locate parts I am looking to avoid cross border broker headaches. |
