Open first the monitor.
Locate the power supply module.
See if some capacitors are damaaged.
It can be detected whit your eyes, you dont need any capacitortester. |

I already disassembled the thing can't find any blowed condansators. Peh,It was working without problem for 3.5 years, and no dead pixel, but circuitry downed... Also warranty is long gone... Going to tech service now, I wish it doesn't cost much. |

exactly the same problem over here, everytime it changes you can hear a soft "tick" noise... right now I am trying to disassemble the damn thing (l90d+)... |

Whoops, forgot to say that the monitor is a Hyundai L90D+ and the problem occurs on both the VGA and DVI inputs |

It used to work fine, then took a few tried to start up, then stop working completely. The monitor turns on fine, but the status light alternates between blue and amber without any display coming up. |
