| It's been a number of years since I have worked on Sony receivers, but I do remember there being some small signal transistors around the outputs that would often go bad that feed the protection circuitry. Check anything around them that you see for shorts / open. | |

| My Sony STR-DG800 is stuck in "protector" mode. Couldn't locate any short on outputs; Disconnected all, and problem persists..
Any suggestions? Mike. |
