Hi,

A new Main PCB costs 170 Euro, thats a bit to much to use on a 3 year old LCD TV, so mine is still broke.

Hi tom_ing,

last week my Samsung LE26R51 TV (bought 3 years ago) has the same behavior.
I you have more info on how to repair it, I'am all ears.

From other sites, people claim that sometimes some of the power transistors on the power board fail, or the high voltage transfo.
I do not have the right measuring equipment though to check all that.
Did you go over the checks as listed in the service manuel to see of the power assembly is faulty ?

LCD sets are still board replacement only. Most manufactures don't even provide schematics for the boards just block diagrams. So the answer would be you keep replacing components till the old board is fixed.

Hi,

My Samsung LE26R51 LCD TV has a problem, if will not power on!

The red LED just it flashing....

The main power supply was swapped but I still have the error....

I am now 100% sure that it is a problem with the PCB main board, because I swapped the PCB with a spare one, and TV works 100%

The question is not, what is the problem with the defect PCB main board? I think it is a power problem on the unit....

Can anyone help...

I think it is a problem in the "standby power supply", maybe the chip that generates the SW_POWER signal, asking the main power supply to deliver 5 VDC to the standby circute.

The PCB diagram plus more can be found here:
