The degaussing wand will also remove any residue magnetism that the degauss circuit is unable to. |

Not true. Any external magnetism can override the degaussing circuit and in particular the ptc or ntc. A faulty positor will no longer degauss and any Purity patch present for longer than six months can become a permanent fixture regardless of an inbuilt degaussing circuit. |

Actually, every color TV has a built in degaussing circuit which activates each time the TV is turned on. You do not need an external degausing coil. |

The discolouration is caused by the magnetic field from your speaker magnets, move the speakers at least 2 to 3 feet away from the T/V. That will cure your (purity) you call discolouration on your T/V. You may have to use a degaussing wand which gives you a magnetic field to wave in front of the T/V to permently cure your purity problem. I do hope this answer helps you, your friend Brian Luck.  |
