After listening to a salesperson at our local Dick Smith electroins shop, he advised that by using a vga to rca cable, i should be able to hook up my computer to our tv set. All the ends are in their right positions, but i still cant get the computer onto the tv. I think i am doing something wrong.

Can any one assist with explaining how to hook up a computer to my tv using just a vga to rca cable.
