Probable swapped modules between sets until one worked like he said he was going to do.

T-con is the top board, digital main has the component/composite jacks and tuner usually.

I'm guessing the t-board would be the TU board in the service manual. What would the main board be? Listed in the manual are boards - A3U, G2, TU, H1, H2, H3 and G3.
