| Yes it does,
I changed the convergence IC's about 6 months ago, there are three of them and checked the resistors for ohm value. At that time the blue was all over the place and getting closer to the middle of the screen , so changing those instantly fixed the problem. The bottom line is it's a great tv and I hoped to fix it again. Some days it will not have a problem at all then others it wont turn on for more than a minute.When I found the posting about changing the c707 capacitor and the e994 fuse on other similar hitachi tv's with the exact same problem I got excited and ordered the parts only to find mine does not have them - Ha Ha on me for not checking first. | Your set does not have convergence I.C.s or resistors?
A lot of people don't bother to post back once their item is working. |

| Thanks for the reference.
Unfortunately it seems they could not fix the problem. I also do not have the same numbered items but there must be similar components on my circuit board that cause the same results as the e994 and c707 failures. I hope someone out there has had a good fix for this one............. Thanks, Dan |

| please help , my tv keeps turning off... I've seen previous posts saying to check e994 and c707 but mine does not have these ..I'm sure it has something similar I just dont know the numbers to change..
