Thanks for the help. I checked and this TV should support it through the scart connector. Are there any adaptors (brands) that are known to be better or worse than others? Or are they all the same? Thanks again.

No, that should not be a problem if the adaptor is correctly designed and built.

Just note that not all TVs have S-video implemented in the SCART connector. Some brands prefer to have a separate mini-DIN connector for S-video while other ones use free pins of the SCART for the chroma part of the S-video signal and use the same pins as for composite video, for the luminance part.

"Lag" can never be caused by a bad connection for analog video.

I want to connect an older video game console to my CRT TV. Does anyone know if there will be a drop in picture/sound quality and maybe slight lag when connecting composite/S-Video cables through a SCART adaptor instead of directly to the TV? Thanks.
