If still in warranty why bother? ...while it may be an easy fix, provided that traces are not damaged, chances are that dismantling alone makes it impractical for the average user.

Hi folks,

I got a Z6W cell phone second-hand for cheap, and it works great except that the micro-SD slot is disconnected from the phone's mainboard. It looks like it needs 11 points re-soldered to the phone.

I'm pretty sure this is the slot in question, or one of the varieties thereof (they have different heights and I haven't measured it).

I could get Motorola to fix it as it's in warranty based on the manufacture date, which I'm leaning toward doing since I'm not good with a soldering iron. That said, is this an easy fix? The main thing is that the slot is surrounded on all sides by the phone's chassis, meaning I'd probably have to disassemble it down to the mainboard to put it back on effectively.
