|
Reverse picture search can develop a noise bar at the top of screen, perhaps ok at the very end of a tape but getting progressively worse as you work back through the tape to the start.
Inspection of the tape path will reveal very lacklustre tape tension with poor contact with the video head drum on the entrance side (although in this mode the tape is exiting from this side of the drum, of course).
To fix this, change the clutch assembly, part # VXP1409. There's loads of free K-mechanism service data to be found on the 'net, the mechanism comes out very easily and you only need to slip the belt off to replace the part. A new one costs about 10 GBP. |
