Or unplug board by board from the power supply till the set runs. Start with the Y sustain. |

Only sure way: After locating a working SAME model set, install your board into the working set. If still works, Is Good - If doesn't work, is not Good. Bear in mind if your board IS defective, it may harm other parts of the working set. |

Hi again, here is a link to the service manual. Id like to open up the tv and test the image board but have not idea what to do to test it once i get to it. Hi Everyone, I have a 42" plasma TV that wont turn on. The little research Ive done points to 1 of 3 internal components possibly being bad. I need to open up the TV and test the A/V board, the PDP board, and possibly others. Can anyone here at this forum tell me How to test these internal components? I have the basic voltmeter, ... but have no idea if I need anything else or where to start. The thing wont turn on and is basically a 42" paperweight right now so I figures what the hell, Ill try to fix it myself and learn something in the process. Thank you! -A |
