maybe something wrong with the cabling connection of B+ of your radio to the source. Better you check and follow the diagram ( it usually found on the top of the radio case. |

If the radio is running the battery flat, you must not use that Fiat very much (or unit comes on at Full Volume). Normally will take a number of DAYS or weeks to drain fully. |

I have just bought an idea, i don't have it yet but i have been reading up about it and i understand the radio problem is common, apparently there is a micro switch that controls the cd which sometimes mistakenly thinks a cd has been inserted thus waking up the radio and flattening the battery. apparently the quick fix is to leave a cd in the slot.

The radio on my Fiat Idea has started switching itself on when either the ignition is on or not, thus running down the battery. I changed the battery, not knowing about the radio, and tho it appears to work OK, its started switching on when turned off. Any ideas. sorry for the pun. |
