The purpose of the spark gaps at the CRT socket is to protect sensitive circuitry elsewhere in the tv from voltage transients due to high voltage flashovers within the CRT.

i manage to get the replacement flyback and crt and replaced burn crt socket
it works now.according to some tech could be the crt socket fault causing flyback focus burn.but im convince it is a factory defect since the crt socket spark gap pupose is to protect the crt from flyback right?

tnx man for tips.i,ve check the capacitors and solder joints/paths around hor section everything is ok. hor collector voltage is 110v normal voltage of the set heater voltage around 6vac no other secondary supply from thie flyback rest of the supply voltage from smps power supply which is in good reading.
anyway im returning the flyback for replacement will post the result next time

Check the flyback capacitor(s), those are usually 5-10 nF polypropylene capacitors connected from the collector of the output transistor to either ground or a point in the E/W diode modulator.

Also, you should check everything in the current path through the horizontal deflection coils (solder joints, connectors, series coils and/or capacitors and so on) for open circuits.

after replacing kolin tv model kct2177 flyback with replacement BSC2409g blur picture screen for a few second and i smell smoke coming from flyback focus control and crt connector. but the hor out transistor still good.
could it be flyback factory defect? or something else?
