| Ok I’m new here but have several years experience in electronics just none with plasma TV’s. I have the aforementioned TV with the left side of the screen being constant black. The amount of the screen that is black changes with the warmth of the picture or overall brightness in it. The audio and onscreen displays and closed captioning is working 100% or well what can be seen of it. I bought some manuals for it and have done a bit of reading but can’t really narrow it down to a single PCB. The problem started after a pop and small amount of smoke. After intense visual checks I can see nothing blown. Any help to the troubleshooting of this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I have taken pictures of the screen but not sure how to post them. |
