| 24v will be quite slow, you should looking for a better one for your project if you want to get a good result. | |

| This motor is manufactured by Johnson Electric and also goes by P/N HC615LG. It is used in many HP printer/copiers and new replacement motors are available from Electronic Surplus ordering SKU 152991. | |

| I tested this motor, it starts turning at 1V, very slowly. I was quite surprised by this. At 6V it has quite a bit of torque (finger pinch test) At 17V it was spinning fast and starting making a noise. (Did not want to pinch it). I did not have 24V, but I'm sure that would have been OK. If I reverse the polarity, it spins in opposite direction with no difference. As a generator: It can generate about 3V with no load when I give it a quick spin with my thumb & finger. Could be an interesting little wind generator, driving a LED, charging two NmH batteries. Sorry, these are no scientific results, but hopefully it gives whomever wants to experiment an idea what it does. |

| This is not a stepper motor, it is an ordinary DC motor. I found some data on a russian website. I used the Google translator, not sure if translation is 100% http://roboforum.ru/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5326&p=83529&hilit=mabuchi#p83529 max voltage 24V medium voltage 15V Max current 1.6A no load current 0.1A no load speed 3540 rpm max power 8.72 starting voltage 3V resistance 11.6 ohms volts at 1000 revolutions: 6.4V inertia 50 (gm.cm2 ?) moment on the shaft of 6.08 N*cm/A max moment 9.4 N*cm Interestingly, I dont find an equivalent motor on the Mabuchi website. This motor was probably made just for HP Deskjet printers and not in their catalog anymore. I also have this motor, taken from a printer, and want to use it for something, not sure yet. Note that the motor is max 24V, and it should start rotating at 3V |

hi everyone..  this motor was taken out of an HP printer and it is made by a company called Mabuchi. it is a 24 volt motor and i would like to use it for a project but i don't know any of the stepping information. I emailed the company requesting a datasheet, but it has been a couple weeks and i have not gotten any response. i would appreciate any help.. thanks.. |
