boss try to revived first youre dead remote.... is so easy to repair the remote than to purchase another one. only tools you need are soldering iron or soldering gun ang soldering lead...
1. open the cover of remote..then resolder all components you will see..i mean all!..i think theres a loose contact thats why yuore remote wont work..
try to revive before you purchase another one.. |

If unit works (even if ONLY "power" button) with a "universal" remote, then you have a defective "original" remote and replacing it will solve the problem.
If unit will NOT work (with the correctly programed universal) than there is a defect in the Onkyo DV-C601 and (most likely) it will not work with a replacement "original" remote. |

| "Universal" remote? Do you mean purchase a new remote? I found the remote that originally came with the unit (RC-406DV) on Ebay. Should I purchase that or just go to Walmart and purchase a remote? |
