| I have the same problem. Channel sound, sound of channel changing, but no picture. What is the board # that I need to change for the Z46z83d8 or is it the same as the previously stated? Is it the power/sweep module? THANKS in advance!! |

hey guys, i'd like to fix my Z50Z83D8 i'm getting kinda tired of my 19' backup tv  is 9-1674-03 the right power/sweep module for it? |

Same problem here on a z46z83d8, havent been able to track down a service manual as of yet so flying by the seat of my pants on this one.

| I'm having the same problem with sound but no video as the other two guys, would it be the same part number for the power/sweep module for a Z50Z83D8 as posted before? |

I am attempting to repair my Projection TV. Last night the screen went blank and the sound still works etc... But one issue I have is understanding all the different part numbers given for what looks to me as one board. 9-1674
I have seen 9-1674-01, 9-1674-03
I was fortunate to talk the guy out of the service manual when it was serviced under warranty.
I am not positive that I am missing the 115vsw from crx3412, but it is suspected. I am having trouble tracking the circuit with the board in so far. Can I disconnect the flyback transformer and still power up the set without worry of damaging anything else?
Possitive that something is fried from the smell. |

you twist the wire to remove it. its held in with a clip.
NO CUTTING! |

| Get the new board and swap wires for wires. Cut and splice is the LAST option. |

| Ok, I took it apart, i'm guessing that the power supply board is the one that the power wire runs into... and the one to the left of it is the video.... The only wire that i see giving me a problem is the thicker red one that runs into the top of some grey transformer thing(sorry about the vague descriptions).... Can i just cut this wire, and reattach it to the new board?... Also, is there any high voltage i need to worry about when doing this swap?.... When the new board is installed, will there be anything else i need to do before i can plug it in and turn it on?... I appreciate all of your help and advice that you have given me thus far, I'm sure i'll need some more... Thank you. |
