|
I repair electric clothes iron and have found out that a particular brand uses a particular component which I dont know its name,to control the iron temperature (not the thermostat) when that component becomes useless, the iron is left with an open circuit, and to close the circuit with a piece of ordinary wire will cause the iron to overheat.
I was thinking of using a resistor to control the temperature at about 55 - 60C but dont know what rated resistor should I use.
N.B. The iron is now overheating at about 100C |
