| Actually have an exact model---still working!
Well-known chasis for having tons of leaky capacitors all over with various symptoms. There were a number of Mits big screen's plagued with certain series of nichicon caps that if not replaced, it would eventually ruin the PCB's with oozing electrolytes. Unless you have technical ability, it is not something for the average user. Depending on the condition of the boards, it may already be too far gone and not worth messing with but visual inspection of the pcb's(solder-side) is the first step. In your case, the tuner/signal pcb.....have replaced numerous electrolytics on the one I have or else it would have died long time ago. I only have a paper service manual. |

When I am watching cable, everthing is just perfect on the screen , but when I watch my DVD's off in on the screen goes dark, and EXt s-video words go on the screen. This as just been recently happening. This is VS-5071 Projection Television Viewer, and also I dont have a manual, This tv was given to us. Does anyone know what this cold be? and could I fix it myself, also does anyone have a service manual or owners manual, in pdf form?  |
