For starters, the usual advice about opening the unit and checking for puffed top electrolytics, especially on power supply board. Also, look for anything that appears "out of the ordinary."  |

| Hello, everyone.
I have a weird problem with my monitor. It works intermittently. If I get a signal detection screen, a signal from the computer will turn it on but it won't turn off when it should display a screensaver (blank screen in my Windows configuration). When it works, unplugging the video cable will leave the last image it displayed permanently until it's turned off, as it also does when it should go into sleep mode. When it's not working, the power light lights up but no test screen (and of course no video). Sometimes, unplugging it, waiting and plugging it back in will bring it back. The weird (to me) thing is, that pressing any of the buttons, including the power button (even most of the time while the monitor's working), has no effect. Has anyone experienced and solved similar problems? I appreciate any advice. |
