Try Sams Photofacts. They published a nice Auto Radio Series up through 1983. I'm working on building a complete set of all 340 issues. Have dozens of duplicates for sale too.

Hi

I'm a car restorer and engineer so I probably could handle the basics and can troubleshoot. I have several 1970s Becker car radios. One in particular, I bought as working and turns out it didn't but seller insists it can't be anything major. I checked the internal fuse, but don't know how and where to start testing and measuring diodes, capacitors, etc. to find fairly common and simple faults with my radios, without paying someone a lot of money every time, even when the problem is not that complicated. Are there any basic procedures or good books on transistor car radios?

Thanks, Tom
