|
Help. my beloved 5p Printer has never failed me...until now. I had a bad piece of paper jam. i pulld it out (all of it)...straight out, not out and to the right as apparently I should have done. Now it refuses to draw new paper and shuts down with all five lights going on. (it does ak all the preliminary noises properly until it shuts down). HP book describes as "fatal error." So I am told the paper feed might now be misaligned. I do know that 1) teh error is confined to the printer itself (it will not print from a second computer), and 2) it will not prinnt a test page either. FYI, the paper jam happened at the point where toner had been applied to the top inch of the page. The books says pull the book say pull the paper out the way it went in...contrary to newer models, methinks. Anyway, my mchine is timeless and made in america. i would like to keep it going. manhy thanks.[/code] |
