| Fixed. I cleaned the head with isoprophyl alcohol. After that the cd player started to work. |

Hello,
My Sony has something wrong when it tries to recognise audio CDs. CD motor spins few times and then NO DISC appears on the LCD screen.
What could cause this? Is the laser broken? I have a service manual of the device. Link to the manual:

I have not tried to clean the laser head? How that is done without damaging the laser head? Thanks a lot of your answers. |
