I am only guessing but maybe the CMOS battery went flat. Can you go to the BIOS settings and check them, make sure the time and date are correct aswell.

Well I have a huge problem with my IBM ThinkPad T21 series laptop. I haven’t used my older ThinkPad is a couple of weeks. I when to go turn it on and only got the IBM ThinkPad screen. It seems to not like be loading anything from the hard drive. I let it run all night long to see if it would boot up and it did. It won’t let me use any keyboard functions or the mouse. Everything I seem to do takes a really long time, like hours and hours. I am just hoping to get all my information off of the hard drive and burn it or somehow transfer it to my new T43 Thinkpad. Can anybody help me with my problem? I mean it has taken over night about 12 hours for it to finally boot into windows. Thanks for your time.

James
