The above link is only for the schematics. What I have is the full service manual including the parts lists and the schematics. |

My next troubleshooting step would be to plug in a set of known-good lamps (take out of a busted TFT screen). If they come on and stay on - panel has one (or more) lamps bad (unplugging one known-good bulb and trying original lamps one at a time will point out which one(s)). Or conversely power the lamps in your monitor with a test fixture. I made mine from another junk monitor chassis (Samsung 740N).
You also just could unplug ALL bulbs. Plug in one at a time (each in its own turn) and see if each lights up THE SAME just for an instant. If one bulb lights more dimly (or not at all) you know it is suspect. |

|
I have problem with Samsung 940N LCD Monitor. When I turn on standby switch, everything work fine for 2-3 seconds, and than backlite turns off. On lcd panel I can see that picture appear but with no backlite. I checked capacitors on power supply board, thay were in bad condition, and I changed them. But this didn't fix a problem. I started to think that maybe one of 4 laps are defectiove, and that is the reaseon for inverter overload. If someone have experience on that kind of problem, please reply to my post. |
