"If you try that" sounds to me like "you shouldn't do that". Is there a better way to get the tape out? |

| If you try that, be sure to disconnect motor from the motor drive circuitry.
Start with a few volts, increasing a volt at a time, by the time you hit 9 volts the motor should be turning. One polarity will turn motor in one direction, reverse polarity, the other way. |

After 7 years w/o problems  ) I got a dead unit SV5000w.
As discussed many times I will replace the caps in the power supply first. Unfortunately I am stuck during the disassembly - I never opened a VRC before. To get the PCB out I need to remove the stuck tape first - I guess it covers a scew. Is it possible to just provide power to the motor of the loading unit? If yes, what voltage? Will it corrupt any adjustments? Thank you in advance kalo |
