| The Backlight Inverters are busted. This is a fairly common problem. If you take off the back and then turn it on, you can hear the inverters on both sides clearly. They are fairly easy to get to and remove. If you know a place, or know someone, they could possibly be repaired fairly cheap (I'm talking a few bucks). On the other hand, it's only about a hundred dollars to replace both boards.
I just did mine... here are the parts: 6632L-0392A Master Backlight Inverter $40.99 6632L-0393A Slave Backlight Inverter $41.99 Those prices are from retechtv.com, the cheapest price I could find, and it happened to be local for me. Those guys are SUPER friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and the speak English, which is a plus. |

| My Vizio VW47L is making what sounds like a loud mosquito sound, coming from the right rear, and the picture is dim when that sound is present. Do I need to replace the power supply? Or is it a fuse? Any help would be appreciated. | |
