If the power supply has blown you don't wanna be fitting an IC...! You wanna be fitting a power supply repair kit otherwise there is a very good possibility the new IC will blow again at 'switch on'. Now We don't know which part of the globe you dwell at so I suggest Google the Model number or Power Supply Repair kit ensuring it's for this model. Yes ICs do go by themselves but if there was a 'bang' or 'pop' call it what you will, there's a chance components will be damaged, the 'chopper' transformer could easily be responsible especially if it's on the Standby power section, I would advise for this not to be overlooked.
