Full make and model is always helpful.
If banging the TV cured the fault in its beginning stages, that points to dry-joints (or what the yanks call cold-joints). You need to look for any poor solder joints in the TV, or ask an engineer to look it over. |

I have a Mitsubishi 52” projection TV (approx 12 years old). Can only see a ghost image on the screen and no sound. It worked fine until a couple months ago, then the picture started coming and going. If I tapped the side of the TV, the picture would come back. Finally, it went completely out and now only a ghost image.
The images are blurry gray and white. I can watch a show, but images are gray and white, and a bit blurry, but no 3-D effect. No color at all, and no sound.
Any Ideas on where to start troubleshooting this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
