I guess it really depends if it is a plasma or LCD. If this is a LCD, then the problem might just be the inverter board. The inverter powers up the back light so that would explain "no picture" since it is too dark to see. Take a flashlight and shine it into the screen and if you can see anything faintly, you've found the problem. |

LG TV No video but sound works fine.
I just saw an ad for a 44 inch LG HDTV and the guy says the video doesn't work but sound does.
I would like to know how expensive this fix could be and if it would be worth it to buy the tv since it would only cost me 20 bucks.
Could I just sell the tv parts on ebay if the fix would be too expensive? I will add more details when he gives me the exact tv model.
I'm just trying to see if this is something common in HDTVS and if I can fix it before I invest. Thanks in advance. |
