| 4 years still young for a tv, i can still get parts for a 10 year old tv. do you have schema for your tv? ask a referred tv tech from a friend to replace all caps with values greater than 0.47uf in the vertical deflection circuit. it is easier and cheaper to replace them all at the same time than trying to find out which one is defective. just make sure to replace them with exact specs. then go to your next problem.... the sound.... hope its only the sound amp ic. check your speaker/s first prior to sound troubleshooting. by the way, may i ask, from which country are you?

| HELP!!!
I have had a repair technician up to my house 3 times for a total of over 11 hours. After his last visit I still have the same problem and now--no sound from my TV. I was told that the part I need is absolete and to start looking for a new TV. This one is only 4 years old. Am I getting screwed??? He said something about a "vertical-hold board"??? Please, any input is appreciated!!! Thanks. |
