thanks for your reply electrolytic capacitors show no obvious sign of distress do not have the means of testing capacitors i intend to have a closer look at the weekend once again thank you very much for you time |

How are electrolytics? Using your eyes: "puffed?" Using your electronic test equipment: Values & ESR's? |

mains and set fuses O.K. all output voltages are low by approx 30% i.e. the 3.3v lines are about 2v suspect a diode in the secondary side of the power supply do not have a service manual or a circuit diagram are there any stock faults for this condition ? can lift one end of each diode in turn and check but my diode suspicion may be incorrect any suggestions ?
