| OK, I bought new internal fuses to check to see if it's going to be a simple replacement.
Putting a new one in, it blew again. What would make this fuse blow repeatedly when all I did was clean out the fans? Nothing has come disconnected as far as I can tell. I'm thinking of delving in deeper to see if anything obvious has burnt out... Any suggestions are welcome. |

| Today I've stripped my projector to clear the fans out as it was getting unbearable.
I removed the lamp, took the sides off and removed them. I then located the fans inside which were caked in dust, so I blew them out with compressed air and got the stubborn dust off with a cotton bud. I then put the sides back on and the lamp. Turned it on and it popped and tripped my house out. I've tried the fuse in the plug, which is still fine, I've looked at the internal fuse, which is still white, but now I get nothing from it at all. It no longer trips the house, but there is no life coming from it. The fans are completely clear, but now I wish I left it because I have no power at all. Has anyone got any suggestions as to what the pop was? I do not think it was the lamp, but I am under the impression it should still turn on without the lamp in (it did previously). What have a done? |
