If YES = Driver (computer) problem - from 940b user manual: When prompted by the operating system for the monitor driver, insert the CD-ROM included with this monitor. Driver installation is slightly different from one operating system to another. Follow the directions appropriate for the operating system you have. Prepare a blank disk and download the driver program file at the Internet web site shown here. Internet web site : http://www.samsung.com/ (Worldwide) http://www.samsung.com/monitor (U.S.A) http://www.sec.co.kr/monitor (Korea) http://www.samsungmonitor.com.cn/ (China) If NO = Problem with monitor itself. Usually puffed electrolytic(s) on the power supply/inverter board. Or bad CCFL bulb(s). Or ... |

| my samsung lcd monitor(syncmaster940bx)goes dark when i switch it on.just for a sec a screen becomes visible with the screen saver then it becomes dark.if i press its 3rd button then again screen becomes live & as i leave the 3rd button it becomes dark. when i attached this lcd screen with my laptop then the message comes- display drivers not responding. reboot the system. i tried but all in vain.please be kind enough to help me. | |
