You need to replace the inverters. They are on each side of the tv. Master and slave
Before replacing them make sure the small smd fuses are good

I have a Sanyo dp-42849 and it has sound but no picture the ccfl will flicker on but immediarely turn off .the audio remains on as well as all other functions.I have turned the set on in a darkened room but still no faint image. There are no swollen caps on the power supply module or the input circuit board. I suspect that the t-con is ok as I cam perform all other functions .I.E. channel change ,volume change. input change .What can I check next and can I check esr with a cheap dmm? if so how?any other tips or suggestions greatfully apppreciated.
Thank you,
